Frighten Brighton 2012

Born to be Wild will have a stall at the craft fair of this awesome event!!

Cyberschizoid and Scare Sarah in association with Diabolique magazine and Hemlock Books present Frighten Brighton 2012, the South Coast’s premiere horror event.

Frighten Brighton 2012 is a follow up to last year’s extremely successful event and once again takes place at The Rock Inn, Brighton. The show kicks off at 12 noon with a Macabre Market of merchandise, books and gothic goodies alongside book signings, a ghost story reading and a free screening of Hammer’s gothic Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell (1974).

Our horror double bill begins at 5pm and features the H.G. Lewis sleaze classic The Gore Gore Girls (1972) and eighties zombie fan favourite Re-Animator (1985) as well as Cyberschizoid’s Horror Quiz and free giveaways courtesy of Diabolique magazine and Hemlock Books.

Entrance to the Rock Inn pub and Macabre Market are free.  Admission to the Horror Double Bill is only £6 per person.

Brighton Tattoo Convention

Saturday we treated ourselves to tickets to the 5th annual Tattoo Convention, I've been once before but it was surprisingly Jordan's first convention ever (hes more covered in ink than me!) We met some great artists and got to catch up with some that we knew.

Here are a few photos I took :)

Underneath I'll tell you my ones to watch for anyone looking for a rad new tattoo :)

All the cupcakes are from a bakery in Chichester, West Sussex. Believe me they taste incredible and look amazing, don't tell my Mum but definitely the best cupcake I've EVER eaten! this pink one had a marshmallow topping and the chocolate sponge was rich and soft, my favorite. Find them here...

This is all the stuff I bought back withe me, really pleased :)
My tattooists to watch and recommend...
  • Rachael McCarthy - I love her work a lot! I will definitely travel to her when I can get tattooed again
  • Simon Erl - An all round good guy and amazing artist, Jordan is eager to get tattooed by him.
  • Both artists at Zombie tattoo in Helsinki were very talented and the lovely lady has made us keen to travel there to see the country, and will emailing her about the amazing t-shirts they had that I unfortunately couldn't get in my size.
  • Deno - of Circus Tattoo in Spain is on Jordan's list
  • Frith Street Tattoo in Soho London is a great shop and the girls we met from there were lovely!
There were so so so many more but I simply can't list them all :)

The felted rainbow

A week or so ago my gorgeous big sister big a lovely write up of my new shop Born to be wild!
She has been running her own venture with her Husband for a little while now so I feel she deserves a mention!

They sell fantastic recycled felt! which is a must have for all you crafters!! There are well thought out and lovingly put together colour packs and also packs of different shapes.
The shop is definitely worth a visit. She also runs a fab blog which is a great one to follow for all this crafty!

Also while I'm here, I found a cheeky out take from the shoot that I really have to share :)
